Quarteto folk de Blanca Altable y Chuchi Alcuadrado con Jaime Muñoz (La Musgaña) y Natalie Haas (Alasdair Fraser & Natalie Haas). Folk internacional.

B&C Quartet

In this new stage, this duo transforms into an unusual and powerful quartet alongside two prominent musicians from the international folk scene. They are joined by Jaime Muñoz (La Musgaña) and Natalie Haas (Alasdair Fraser & Natalie Haas), to explore a more extensive repertoire with pieces, in addition to melodies from Valladolid, Segovia, or Burgos, from the region of Sanabria in Zamora, bagpipe and drum tunes from Salamanca, tunes from the Campoo area in Cantabria, original compositions, and even some tunes from Eastern Europe. Jaime’s versatility with his masterful handling of multiple wind instruments and the sonic and rhythmic power of the American cellist add more color and strength to this project.
As a quartet, they have performed on stages such as Castilla Folk, Los Conciertos de la Estufa, or Casa del Cordón.

Blanca Altable & Chuchi²

Blanca Altable & Chuchi² is a fiddle and acoustic guitar duo made in Castilla. Since 2009, they have been uniquely reinterpreting old instrumental melodies and Castilian songs (winner of the INJUVE 2010 award). They offer original compositions and new folk from the Meseta and the mountains.

Ahí la tienes, bailalá

One day, Blanca Altable & Chuchi² realized the cultural importance of the “Sunday dance” from yesteryears as a place of socialization. They then joined forces with the journalist and traditional dancer Patricia Melero to revive that authentic moment from our villages. Pasodobles, jotas, corridos, charradas, foxes, or polkas lead us to rediscover that indeed, we do know how to dance. They offer a workshop/dance where everyone can learn to dance to our roots.
